On the 1st of May precisely in the year 1995, what looked like a regular prayer meeting on the school football pitch became the Fellowship of the Happiest People On Campus (now known as the Most Joyous People On Campus), the Place of Refuge. The Redeemed Christian Fellowship RCF Bida Polytechnic was started with a Bible Study on a Tuesday being a public holiday. The attendance on this day was less than ten persons. During one of the early Prayer Meetings, executives were elected to pioneer and chart the course of the fellowship of which Bro. Rotimi Adeoye was elected as the Pioneer President. The election into offices was done with the few number of brethren available. As the fellowship began to grow, one of the classrooms around ‘Lagos Area’ in the school premises was used for fellowship activities. The numerical increase birth more offices to the fellowship. The offices and the people who held them are: President - Eng'r Rotimi Adeoye Vice President - Pst. Lanre Olupitan (Now a Pastor in RCCG, Abuja) General Secretary - Sis. Grace Itua Sisters' Cordinator - Sis. Bunmi Usman Bible Study Secretary - Bro Wale Ogunsola (Now a Pastor in RCCG, Akwa Ibom) Prayer Secretary - (Late) The fellowship was faced with some challenges as it experienced growth. These challenges came from the school management. At the time many fellowships were springing up inside the campus and coordinating them became a problem. This made the fellowships to be screened bringing the number down to seven (7) of which RCF was able to scale through. More challenges came but glory to God that they only helped to form building blocks to strengthen the fellowship. Some people that were instrumental in providing support to the fellowship are Pst. Peter Balogun (the 2nd President of the fellowship and now a Pastor in RCCG, Abuja) Pst. Lanre Olupitan Pst. Niyi (who now pastors in Lagos with his own ministry) Pst. Gbenga (also a pastor in Lagos) Bro Sakiru Ajayi (a Discipler in Bida) Sis Grace Itua ( in Lagos) Bro Akpovie ( in London) Bro Charles Adeniji (in Canada) Bro Wale Adeoye (in Lagos) Bro Rufai (in Ogun State) Bro Michael Raji (Gone to Glory) Sis Bunmi Usman (in Abuja)
